‘Where are you staying?’ (working title)

I have a strong awareness of sonic presences and a sensitive taste for ordinary greetings. Entering a room is always an experience. Hearing a shout is often a cause for question, what’s the position? Provoked, to be taken.
I would like to think of a work addressing the things we think we heard, the things we think we saw from the place we live in, the place we go back to when we were ‘out’. The things that stay, with us.

Drawing inspiration from the structure of the classic ‘telephone game’ and the way it generates information through lines or circles of transmission between emitters and addressees, and following the circular layout of the hosting flat, I will explore how an event from the outside can travel inside and be filtered by one’s body, one’s background, personal fantasies or paranoia, and how the same element can resonate in different manners. In that way, the domestic space can easily become an echo-chamber of inner projections.
